Founder of POPKALAB

Currently PhD candidate at Loughborough University in the field of computational textiles and with n MA in Interactive systems for human computer interaction Interface Culture Department at University of Art and Design of Linz, Ricardo has worked extensively within innovative design and technology.

Founder of POPKALAB, a wearable technology company, who also took part in the WORTH Pilot Project. Ricardo has also worked as a freelance researcher in the field of wearable technology and smart materials for Moondial by Sabine Seymour, INTEL, and INDITEX.

With this experience, Ricardo continuously attends universities throughout Europe for guest lectures and workshops, including Geneva, ESDEMGA – Pontevedra, IED – Madrid and São Paulo, Willem de Konning Academie, KunstUniversitätLinz, and University of Antwerp.
